Directions

From the Skye bridge follow the A87 signposted to Broadford and Portree. After approx 20 miles you'll come to the Sligachan Hotel – here, take the left hand turn (A863) for Dunvegan and follow the road for a further 20 miles passing through Struan, Caroy and St John's Chapel. The turn for Harlosh is on your left as you climb the hill after St John's Chapel (approx 6 miles before Dunvegan).

The single track road is a loop which heads out to Harlosh point. At the apex of the loop (approx 2 miles) you'll come to a BT telephone box – turn left here at the sign for Ardmore and follow the road for about half a mile along the coast. When the metalled road becomes a track 'keep going!!!!!' passing a house on the left and driving down to the two houses at the end of the track. Shoormal is the first of these houses, the one with the glass conservatory on the front. As you approach turn left into the drive for Shoormal and park in the drive alongside the house.
