About the music
- 1. This ancient land - Puddin Poke Buskers
- Inspired by a walk to Harlosh Point one cold January morning, looking at the snow on the ground and the deserted houses left after the clearances
- 2. The sea and the shore – Kevyn Smith
- Written in the conservatory at Shoormal looking out to Harlosh island. I want to capture the changing scenery using major to minor chord changes with a tune which has echos of traditional Scottish music
- 3. That Place - Puddin Poke Buskers
- Written whilst we were away and wishing we were home in Ardmore where "the mountains so high touch the steel grey sky, the sea is so wide it touches the clear blue sky, and the stars shine bright deep in the deep black night"
- 4. Seth Brogan's Welcome to the World – Kevyn Smith
- Jules Agnew and Garry Brogan are regular visitors to Shoormal who - like so many of us - have fallen in love with the place. Seth Brogan was born October 2006 and I wrote this tune on the guitar sitting in the conservatory at Shoormal to welcome his arrival into the world
- 5. Shoormal - Gordon Briggs
- The Briggs family have been lifelong friends they were amongst the first people to join us at Shoormal for holidays – Gordon wrote this piece of music inspired the the place and the wonderful island of Skye
